MCP connection

Give your agent a publishing surface.

Connect once, then ask your AI agent to publish Markdown, update an existing artifact, list your pages, or retrieve one without leaving the conversation.

Connect with OAuth

No key to copy

Give your agent the MCP URL. Artifact Studio opens a secure sign-in screen, asks for permission, and gives the agent a revocable OAuth connection.

Use the connector UI. No JSON is required.

  1. Open Settings → Apps and create a custom MCP app. If your workspace requires it, enable Developer Mode first.
  2. Paste the MCP URL as the endpoint.
  3. Choose OAuth or let ChatGPT detect authentication, then verify the tools.
  4. Sign in to Artifact Studio, review the requested permissions, and choose Allow access.

Custom MCP availability depends on your ChatGPT plan and workspace permissions.

JSON-capable agents

Common OAuth configuration

For clients that accept MCP configuration as JSON, the important part is the remote HTTP URL. Do not add an Authorization header—the client should discover OAuth and open the sign-in flow.

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "artifact-studio": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://artifact-studio-mcp.ryanguimaraes.dev/mcp"
    }
  }
}

The exact configuration filename and schema can vary by agent. ChatGPT and Claude web use their connector screens instead of importing this JSON.
